This necklace shows a peacock with its tail in full display and flanked by two other peacocks. Their image is rendered in 22k gold fused to green glass and set in sterling silver. The necklace is shaped like a ‘chand’ or moon in hindi, a nickname which the artisans of Pratabgarh have given this particular thewa piece. The rest of the necklace is composed of colorful quartz cabochons and aventurine quartz beads on silver links.
